Fund Drive
Thank you for your gift!
Your generosity shines bright. Your support helps illuminate the historic places that make the Cincinnati region unforgettable.
Every dollar you give lights the way for strong, sustainable neighborhoods, protects irreplaceable resources and fuels the economic vibrancy that historic places uniquely spark. Preservation isn’t just about saving buildings. It’s about strengthening the fabric of our communities, supporting local businesses and ensuring the character and culture we cherish remain part of a thriving, resilient future.
Because of you, our shared history continues to guide residents, visitors and businesses toward a deeper connection with the region we call home.

IRA Charitable Rollovers
For individuals who are 70 ½ or older, the IRA Charitable Rollover (Qualified Charitable Distribution) is a tax-savvy way to support Cincinnati Preservation. If you are 72 and required to make annual withdrawals from an IRA account, these otherwise taxable distributions may satisfy your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and exclude these funds from your taxable income.
You (and your spouse) can each transfer a total of up to $100,000 annually, to charities such as Cincinnati Preservation, for a purpose that you choose.
Gifts of Historic Property
Cincinnati Preservation also accepts gifts of real estate which we are uniquely positioned to steward. Contribution of real estate, both residential and commercial, have been important in aiding the work of our mission over the years. Making a gift of property to Cincinnati Preservation enables you to preserve your home, give a lasting gift to your community and participate directly in the preservation of Greater Cincinnati’s cultural and architectural heritage. Plus there are tax advantages for you such as:
- avoiding capital gains tax on the property’s appreciated value
- receiving a charitable deduction from income taxes
- removing the value of the property from your estate for estate tax purposes
