Visit the John Hauck House, the historic home of famed Cincinnati Beer Baron John Hauck, and now the home of Cincinnati Preservation. Tours of the John Hauck House Restoration project will be held at 10am and 11:30am. At 10:30 there will be a lecture about John Hauck by Dr. Don Heinrich Tolzmann, the author of John Hauck: Cincinnati’s West End Beer Baron. There will also be a coloring contest of the John Hauck House for kids and kids at heart. 

 

The Ohio History Connection created Ohio Open Doors in 2016 to promote and inspire pride in Ohio’s heritage and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act. Signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson on Oct. 15, 1966, the Act has proven instrumental in transforming the face of communities from coast to coast, establishing the legal framework and incentives to preserve historic buildings, landscapes and archaeological sites.

Docomomo Tour Day

The only national event of its kind, Tour Day is an annual celebration of modern architecture and design where the public and like-minded organizations across the country participate in a tour or event. CPA partners with cf3 for this event in a new location each year.

Fall Forum

Every fall, CPA hosts a nationally renowned speaker who gives a lecture on a topic of local interest. The Fall Forum has historically taken place in the Netherland Plaza’s Hall of Mirrors, one of the grandest ballrooms in the Midwest.
