Advocating for Preservation

  • Effect policy and legislation as fierce preservation advocates in local, state and national arenas
  • Provide trainings and resources on how to become a preservation activist

 

Educating Businesses, Communities and Citizens  

  • Engage community stakeholders and businesses to partner and invest in historic preservation efforts
  • Offer programs and services that equip communities to achieve preservation
  • Explain the basics of preservation through Preservation 101
  • Gather preservationists by hosting events about local history, national preservation topics and practical resources


Celebrating Local History and Our Built Environment

  • Highlight and protect the sites and stories of underrepresented communities through Cincinnati Sites & Stories website and app and Sites of Black History initiative
  • Present annual Preservation Excellence Awards that recognize people, projects and organizations
  • Steward and share the restored John Hauck House
  • Maintain a Preservation Library and Resource Room
